As a travel blogger at WhereAngieWanders.com, I stay in many hotels, so I knew I was in for a great stay as soon as I entered the newly opened hotel, The Crown. With a friendly welcome from the receptionists Karolina and Bartek and a subtle aroma being pumped through the hotel, we looked around at the beautiful Art Decor fittings and sculptures on display and knew we had chosen well. The rooms are beautiful with art deco styling, sumptuous materials, and a fabulously comfortable bed. The bathroom is well-appointed, and the power shower is revitalising. Luxury toiletries smell divine. Returning to our room after spending chilly days exploring Krakow in winter was a treat. Housekeeping is excellent; just be prepared for the bottled still water in the room to taste strange (if coming from the UK). It was more like sparkling water that had gone flat. It certainly has an unusual taste. The Crown has a restaurant; however, we only ate there for breakfast, which I highly recommend; the scrambled eggs and omelette were cooked and presented beautifully. There is a small coffee/cake area to get a great flat white or cappuccino. My only criticism of this area is that the management seems to use it as their workspace with laptops, etc., so each day we went for coffee, we had to sit in the restaurant (which was fully laid for dinner) as there was nowhere left to really sit and relax in the coffee shop as it is tiny. The Crown is a short way from the Old Town and Market Square. It took us around 10-15 minutes to walk in, and there are two tram stops right by the hotel, which will take you anywhere you need to get to in the city. If you want to visit the Jewish Quarter, jump on number 24 ( tickets can be bought from the blue machine in front of the three food kiosks on the opposite side of the road to the tram. Tickets cost around 75p.

We loved the hotel. Bathrooms have all you need and are provided with delicately scented Neroli and Bergamot products. Honestly, even the toilet paper deserves to be mentioned. It all brings you comfort. Beds were among the biggest we’ve encountered so far, which we need as we are all tall people. The mattress is quite firm but not overly so for our stiff joints. And you get a variety of pillows offered. Our rooms looked out to a kind of court yard: very quiet. Also, the hotel corridor is covered in carpet and we couldn’t hear anything from those above us either. You can also sleep with the air-conditioning on, it isn’t loud. Breakfast offers a combination of à la carte and buffet. It is all fresh and offers the expected variety. It is a little excessive (7 pancakes and a mountain of bacon for 1 serving, eg) and needs people to have great appetite. Location is perfect. Quiet area next to a park. You easily take a tram to anywhere you want at about 60m from the hotel. Two stops further and you are in Old Town already. It has a police station next door and a Carrefour Express market 30m across the street and an apothecary at 50m. The restaurant is Italian and offers what one would expect from Italian cuisine. All staff is friendly, flexible and accommodating.

I absolutely loved this hotel. It is a completely renovated building and the hotel is brand new, it started working in 2023 thus everything you touch in the room is brand new. Very comfortable beds, very nice room, spacious and well decorated. I highly recommend this hotel. When you stay in Krakow, if you want peace and quiet it is better to stay in a hotel outside the main square. The location of this hotel is great as it is 1km away from the main square but you always go straight through one street so there is no way you can get lost.

The hotel is in a good location, less than a 10 minute walk into Krakow Centre with good selection of cafès and bakeries nearby. The hotel breakfast provided a great selection of food options. Hotel rooms were stunning, clean and spacious. I organised the Auschwitz Tour through the hotel which I would highly recommend. Would also like to note the hotel staff were excellent in replying to any queries raised through the booking.com messenger service.

This hotel is brand new and still smells new. Everything is nice and clean. The room was spotless and some were the other areas of the hotel. Excellent value for money and definitely recommend this place for your stay in krakow. They also have security cameras in the corridors too which is comforting as a solo female traveller. The food on the restaurant was lovely too.
